Remembering The Honourable Nello Altomare

It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of the Honourable Nello Altomare, Manitoba's Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning. 

Minister Altomare dedicated his life to the betterment of public education in Manitoba. His tenure as Education Minister was marked by a steadfast commitment to enhancing the student experience across the province, such as the notable achievements of the recently implemented universal school nutrition program.  

Minister Altomare's dedication, compassionate leadership, and impact on education in Manitoba will be deeply missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all WSD staff who were touched by his life and work.
