Curriculum

Curriculum provides the teacher with direction for lessons and academic content taught in our classrooms. The curriculum identifies the student learning outcomes, including knowledge, skills and attitudes to meet the goals in each of the curricular content areas.

The knowledge and skills are organized in strands or clusters. All Manitoba Education curricula incorporate principles of literacy development, communication, thinking and cultural perspectives.

Educators in Winnipeg School Division use the Principles of Learning to support their lessons and engage the students at a deeper level.
