Indspire Building Brighter Futures Bursaries, Scholarships & Awards for Post-Secondary Education and Skilled Trades

Who can apply?
- There is one application for all of Indspire's bursaries, scholarships and awards, barring a few exceptions. To be eligible for a Building Brighter Futures financial awards applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Indigenous person
- Be enrolled in an accredited education program; a professional development program; a continuing education program; a traditional knowledge program or arts training
- Can not be a member of the staff, board or jury at the time of applying for funding support
What will I have to do?
- Complete the application
- Submit Indigenous card (front & back)
- Submit grades
- Submit proof of enrollment
- Submit letter from Indigenous organization regarding educational funding

Kin Canada Bursaries
Deadline: February 1, 2024
Award Amount: $1,000
Who can apply?
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Must be a full-time student in the process of graduating from high school or currently studying or registered at a post-secondary institution
- Must not have previously been awarded a Kin Canada Bursary
- Will be evaluated on their community and school involvement, knowledge of Kin Canada and financial need
What will I have to do?
- Complete and mail the standard current application form to only ONE Kinsmen, Kinette, or Kin club nearest to your permanent residence

Society of Manufacturing Engineers Scholarship
Deadline: February 1, 2024
Award Amount: $2,500-$20,000
Who can apply?
- Must be a graduating high school senior, current undergraduate or graduate student who will be enrolling as part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student, attending accredited colleges or universities in the United States or Canada for the next fall term
- Scholarships are only available to citizens of the U.S. and territories, citizens of Canada, students with permanent residency status in the U.S. (i.e. green card) or Canada, or applicants with a U.S. or Canadian student visa
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or 70 on a 100-point (%) scale. Most scholarship winners have a GPA of 3.0/80
- Must be pursuing a degree in a qualifying major

RBC Future Launch Scholarships
Deadline: February 7, 2024
Award Amount: 20 scholarships of up to $10,000 each per year to use toward tuition, textbooks, supplies, and living expenses.
Who can apply?
- You are eligible to apply to the RBC Indigenous Student Awards Program if you are a Status Indian* (Indian defined in Section 2(1) of the Indian Act), a Non-status Indian, Inuit or Metis
- A permanent resident or citizen of Canada
- Have applied or are currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada
- Must maintain a full course load that leads to a recognized degree, certificate or diploma and maintain good academic standing (RBC requests confirmation of your full course load and good academic standing at the beginning of every fall and winter semester)
- Have shown strong potential to successfully complete the program
- Require financial assistance to pursue post-secondary education
- Are not an RBC employee or a dependent of someone who is
What will I have to do?
- Submit the following:
- Completed application (available online)
- Copy of your most current academic transcript
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or member of your community
