Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) Scholarship

Award Amount: Two awards available, one valued at $100k and one valued at 1 MILLION!
Who can apply?
- The competition is open to anyone who resides in Canada
- Competition begins January 1 2024 and runs until September 1 2024
What will I have to do?
- To win either scholarship you must collect 100k or 1 million approved devices and send them to the ERA for recycling

AIA Canadian High Fives for Kids Scholarship
Deadline: September 15, 2024
Award Amount: $1,000
Who can apply?
- Must be a child of a full-time employee in an active AIA Canada member company in good standing. (Current year’s membership dues must be paid)
- Confirmation of the parent’s employment must be provided by the member company.
- The applicant must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program leading to a certificate or diploma at an accredited university, college, technical school.
What will I have to do?
- The applicants must include a one-page essay telling why they should be considered (achievements, volunteering), the application, a referral letter (teacher or someone in their community), photos of activities and achievements and proof of enrolment.
- Can apply via video but must send proof of enrolment.
- Applicant selection based on academic achievement (not necessarily in the automotive field), skill, extra-curricular involvement, or special abilities.

James Lee Foundation Scholarship
Award Amount: $5,000
Who can apply?
- Non-professional Canadian residents over the age of 16
What will I have to do?
- Create a portfolio with a maximum of 10 pieces. All fields of creativity related to the advertising community will be considered (e.g. writers, art directors, film makers, recording artists, illustrators, digital artists, etc.)
- Provide your contact information
- Provide a paragraph (max. 200 words) explaining how the funds would help you to pursue your creative path

Manitoba House: Building Foundations Bursary
- Must be enrolled in a full-time program of at least one year in length at a Manitoba post-secondary institution
- Must be living in subsidized housing or receiving a rental subsidy funded by MB Housing, Manitoba Shelter Benefit or Rental Supplement
- Mature students are encouraged to apply
- At least 4 bursaries will be rewarded to students of Metis, Inuit, Status Indian, or Non-Status Indian ancestry
- Submit your completed application to Manitoba Housing by the deadline
Sons of Norway Foundation in Canada: Post-Secondary and Trade Bursaries
Deadline: Various Deadlines
Award Amount: $400-$800
Who Should Apply?
- Canadian students pursuing first undergraduate degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Selection committee will consider financial need, community involvement, connection to the Norwegian community, interest in Norwegian culture, and affiliation with Sons of Norway
- *Note: Candidates who can show proof that 20% of their post-secondary course load relates to Norwegian Language, History, or Culture are also eligible for the Sons of Norway Bjarne and Karel Thorshaug Bursary for Norwegian Studies (see website for details)
