Terry Fox Humanitarian Award

Award Amount: Up to $28,000
Who can apply?
- Students in good academic standing
- Canadian citizens or landed immigrants
- Students graduating from high school
- Involved in voluntary humanitarian activities (for which they have not been compensated)
- Planning to or are already studying towards their first university degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution
What will I have to do?
- Applicants must provide three 3 references and upload online an unofficial transcript detailing the applicant’s last two years of schooling (official transcripts, sealed by the issuing institution will be requested from applicants who are selected for an interview). References will be emailed a link requesting they complete an online Reference Form on behalf of the applicant
- The online application, including all the accompanying documents, must be completed and submitted by the deadline– before midnight. Applications and all documentation (including Reference Forms and unofficial transcripts) received after that date will not be considered, nor will they be held over for the next year

University of Manitoba Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship

Award Amount: Up to $16,000
Who can apply?
- Students who:
- have achieved a high school average of at least 90 percent calculated on the basis of results in:
- English 30S or Français 30S and Anglais 30S
- Mathematics 30S (either pre-calculus 30S or applied 30S only)
- the highest marks in three of Biology 30S, Chemistry 30S, Physics 30S, History 30S, Geography 30S, or a language at the 30S level other than those accepted for (a) above
- have achieved a high school average of at least 90 percent calculated on the basis of results in:
- Have demonstrated evidence of leadership qualities and future potential; have demonstrated evidence of a high level of communication skills
- Have a record of community involvement (e.g., school, local community, city-wide, regional, national, international)
- Have demonstrated evidence of special abilities other than those shown by academic results (e.g., artistic, athletic, or linguistic skills, literary accomplishments)
- Have completed a University of Manitoba application for admission by the December 1 deadline, including payment of application fee

- Students who are Indigenous (Status, Non-Status, Métis, Inuit);

Volleyball Manitoba Dr. Dale Iwanoczsko Memorial Scholarship

- Graduating high school volleyball players in Manitoba pursuing post-secondary education
- Must demonstrate academic excellence (75%+ average) and involvement in extracurricular activities
- Special consideration may be given to athletes who: live in rural MB, have competed on a provincial team, or will be participating in a varsity volleyball program at a Canadian College or University
