Tec Voc Photography students partner on fashion photoshoot
February 10, 2025
Photography students from Tec Voc High School, along with community partners MC College and ATC Salon | Esthetics, recently engaged in a fashion photoshoot project to give students an opportunity to apply their creative skills in a real-world environment. The results were breathtaking pieces for the students’ portfolio of work.
The students, enrolled in the advanced photography program at Tec Voc, worked closely with local models, stylists, and makeup artists from MC College and ATC Esthetics. Their resulting work blended fashion, artistry, and technical expertise, and showcased a range of styles, from high fashion to Bratz Girls.
This project allowed the students to capture the essence of contemporary fashion trends while mastering lighting, composition, and styling techniques.
“Collaborating with respected industry professionals gives students invaluable hands-on experience that will take their work to the next level,” says Jeremy Dueck, head photography instructor at Tec Voc High School.
The students were involved in concept development, pre-production planning, directing models, and post-production editing. The partnership with MC College and ATC Esthetics also provides networking opportunities that can help launch careers as professional photographers.
“We're excited to see how these students evolve as photographers,” adds Karen from MC College. “Their talent is undeniable, and it’s thrilling to be part of their creative journey.”
The partnership highlights the importance of community-driven initiatives in fostering local talent and providing students with hands-on, career-shaping experiences.
The photos from this latest collaboration will be featured in an upcoming gallery show at Tec Voc High School.
