Welcome to Kent Road School Library!

Hello June!
June is Pride Month! Come check out the displays and decor that lets all our staff and students know that we love and support them.
June is also Indigenous History Month! I have some wonderful books on display that celebrate Indigenous culture and tell beautiful stories.
This month in the library there are 2 contests running! The first is a "Guess how many books there are in the library" contest. Take a look around, make your best estimate and fill out a form with your guess. The student who guesses closest to the real number wins a prize! The second contest has actually been running all year! The students in the class that has borrowed the most books throughout the year will all win a prize for their amazing reading this year!
Even though we are winding down our book exchange for the year, the library is still open for students who need a quiet space to work or a safe place to regulate.
A few Reminders:
All library books are due on June 12th. Books can be returned anytime between now and the end of the year.
Don't forget to check out Sora over the summer to borrow ebooks and audiobooks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Access Sora HERE.

There is something for everyone here in the library! Once a cycle, students come with their classes to read a story, have a discussion, and exchange their books. Students can keep their books for one school cycle and then exchange them for new ones.
Outside of their scheduled library time, students are always welcome to come to the library to work, take a break, or exchange their books if it is okay with their classroom teacher.
Check out the Kent Road School Online Library to peruse our collection and put books on hold.
