Balanced School Day Schedule

Rockwood is piloting a Balanced School Day model for the 2024-2025 school year.

There are 6, 45-minute learning periods and 2 nutrition and activity breaks each day.

This minimizes transitions and sets students up for success with 2 nutrition breaks.

8:40 a.m.                   Patrols enter building to prepare for duty at 8:45

8:55 a.m.                   Students enter the school

9:00 - 9:15                Opening exercises, attendance, connection time

9:15 - 10:00               Period 1

10:00 - 10:45             Period 2

10:45 – 11:05            Nutrition break 

11:05 - 11:35             Outdoor activity or clubs     

11:35 - 12:20             Period 3

12:20 - 1:05               Period 4                

1:05 p.m.                  Nutrition break (lunch program)

1:30 - 2:00                Outdoor activity (lunch program)

2:00 - 2:45                Period 5

2:45 - 3:30                Period 6

3:30                          Dismissal for all students
