Our Commitment
May 4, 2026
At Children of the Earth, education is a tool for liberation and a means to collective struggle for justice for ourselves, our communities, and our nations. Our children belong in all places, right alongside those who have become used to holding power in our shared society. We need everybody to be engaged in the work of making our communities better in big and small ways - through the knowledge they carry in their hearts and heads, or through the work they choose to do. We are a school unlike others, modelling what it means for our students to be free to lead a life of their own design.
We are committed to creating a learning community where students are known, supported, and empowered. Our approach is grounded in relationships, Indigenous history, identity, culture and languages, and real-world learning. Or work supports every learner to thrive academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We work collaboratively with families, community partners, and partner schools to make this vision a reality.
