Arts Education
May 3, 2021
At Garden Grove, we strongly encourage arts education. Several research has shown the benefits of arts to children. It has been proven that early exposure to visual art, music, or drama promotes brain activity. Aside from that, arts allow children to nurture their imagination and creativity and supports them in developing self- esteem, self- discipline, and self- motivation. They also gain some skills for expressing themselves through art, making connections, and understanding human experience through the process of art making. Through art appreciation, students are able to learn tools to adapt; respect others' ideas, work and way of thinking; develop creative problem solving skills, and communicate thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways.
