Gordon Bell Kitchen Brigades

The Kitchen Brigades program is now in the competition phase. On the evening of March 26,  all the Brigaders competed against each other, in a black box style theme. Each kitchen had unique ingredients with the main ingredient being salmon. The students all showed collaboration, organization and teamwork while practicing their culinary skills. They had fun in their kitchens. 

The group of students who are representing Gordon Bell this year are: Avery Van Solkema, Matea Thiessen Unger, Yevhen Zinchenko, Sebastian Salter and Cailyn Olshevski. Please congratulate them if you see them! 

Special thanks to Julie Popke, Mark Hornung and Chef Adam for being the jury of all the dishes created. 

Thank you to Chef Patrick for your guidance, organization, support, patience and skill while leading our students through another year of Kitchen Brigades. 

We are now awaiting for the date to be announced for the inter-school competition. Gordon Bell will be competing against the following schools: Dakota, Windsor Park and Arthur Day. Along with a 2nd group of competitions each group will determine a winning school. The two winning schools will compete in May to secure their spot to compete in the finals. The finals take place in June in Montreal this year.
