Advisory

Students and staff at Gordon Bell are moving towards Advisory Student Groups.  An Advisory Student Group is an opportunity for students to engage in interest driven learning.  Students will work along side Gordon Bell’s staff in many areas such as the Arts, Sciences, Law, Land Based Learning, Technology, and Cultural Studies.

Advisory Student Groups will foster student high quality working relationships, student voice and choice, facilitate a culture valuing diversity and belonging, developing authentic relationships, create a supportive advisory culture and celebrate growth and effort.

 *Grade 9 - 12 students will sign-up for their Advisory groups in C-slot, starting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025

Advisory Student Groups will occur every Wednesday starting February 26, 2025

Advisory Student Group Schedule:

9:00am – 9:50am                     Slot A regular scheduled classes

9:50am – 10:40am                    Advisory Student Groups

10:40am – 11:30am                  Slot B regular scheduled classes

11:30am – 12:20pm                 Slot C regular scheduled classes

• 50 minute periods in the morning, regular lunch (12:20 - 1:15 pm) and regular duration afternoon classes

• Going forward assemblies and other school-wide events will be scheduled in the afternoons to not further disrupt morning classes.
