Message from Administration

February 14, 2025

Gordon Bell High School is thankful for students, staff and community partners who enrich the learning and teaching of the school with their diversity of lived experiences, talents, cultures, beliefs, and identities. Together as a learning community, we are guided by our commitment to generosity, kinship, and reconciliation. Parents/caregivers are essential partners with staff to ensure that all students and every student are encouraged and supported in equitably accessing high quality and responsive learning and teaching.

Each day, and for the time that students are members of the school community, the sustained messaging and work is that they matter, they belong, are respected, and safe. This sense of wellbeing is crucial in setting the culture and environment for students to be creative and to think critically; to respectfully collaborate and communicate with others;  to connect to self and exercise their responsibilities as citizens for the common good.

All students are encouraged and supported in applying their best effort to their academic learning and participate in the life of the schools through co-curricular learning such as visual performing arts, athletics, and service opportunities. It is through this sustained engagement that they acquire the skills and develop the experience and disposition to live The Good Life.
